It's been such a strange, lost summer. Camps and schools and activities have shut down during the pandemic, leaving kids and caregivers stuck at home and climbing the walls — and sometimes the garden fences. With that in mind, we decided that this year's summer reader poll should be all about keeping kids occupied. We asked you to tell us about your favorite kids' books, from board books for babies to great read-alouds to early chapter books and even a few books for older readers.

A woman who fell in love with her first cousin has revealed how they told their family they were together. Angela Peang, from Eagle Mountain, Utah, appeared on Amazon's Extreme Love alongside her husband Michael Lee in January 2020, where they explained that their love began with a crush in second grade. However their families were keen to 'keep them apart', with the couple comparing their romance to 'Romeo and Juliet'.

15 fire engines and over 100 fire fighters have spent the night tackling a fire at two thatched cottages in Wimborne. The semi-detached properties in Cowgrove were both occupied when the blaze first started at around 7pm Friday night. Firefighters from all over the county worked well into the night to contain the fire. Incident Commander Craig Baker said: "When this fire started both properties were occupied, luckily both families managed to escape without any injuries.
